FLEABOTTOM

With nearly 400 characters making an appearance at some point or other (and that doesn't include all the uncredited extras), it is inevitable that most, including some very familiar faces (and other body parts), didn't make the cut.

So here we are in Fleabottom, listing the guys, girls, giants, direwolves, and everything else who were either too nice, too prudish, or too brief in their GoT careers to make it into this top 100, with a few honorary mentions thrown in for good measure.

Margaery Tyrell - 3 pts (P: 2, S: 1, E: 26)

Dear, sweet Margaery Tyrell may have appeared in 26 episodes spanning five seasons, but her kind words and ever-smiling, passive-aggressive demeanour were not conjusive to a high-scoring performance for this site. Clever schemes and laughing at the King's terrible jokes and intrusive cats may have seen her become Queen, briefly, but they weren't good enough to see her in this top 100.

I'm sure what's left of her is deeply regretting not telling Cersei what she really thought of her on at least one occasion.

The Waif - 2 pts (K: 2, E: 11)

The girl with the scariest run in Essos, "The Waif" would undoubtedly have a lot more kill points if she had her way. As it happens, all we saw the Faceless Men prospect actually do was off Lady Crane, and then try to impress Pat Sharp by finishing off Arya Stark.

She failed though, twice, thanks mainly to the training she gave Arya. Karma's a bitch.

The Night King - 1.5 pts (K: 1.5, E: 7)

On reflection, it really shouldn't be a surprise that the Night King failed to make the cut. With no chance of any sweary or sexy points, and a reputation for being that creepy guy in the background who doesn't actually do much (something I know about all too well), it's a wonder he even got this high in the standings.

However, a 50% success rate with a javelin that would give us mere mortals frostbite was good enough to give him a point and a half, a platform he (it?) seems certain to build upon in the final season.

Tommen Baratheon - 1.5 pts (P: 1, S: 0.5,

Oh Tommen, you're so kind, you have such a good heart, and you're totally rubbish at doing anything useful.

In 24 episodes, all this far-too-young, totally-out-of-his-depth king could muster was a single expletive and a sexual encounter quicker than Lady Olenna's wit.

Fair play to him for wanting to go again straight away though, I'm usually still knackered 12 hours later.

Gilly - 1 pt (S: 1, E: 24)

You would have thought that Craster would have taught his wives a swear word or three, given his reputation for being a not-very-nice man. Yet somehow Gilly managed to navigate 24 episodes of this swear-a-thon without even so much as a bastard to her name.

One thing she does receive credit for, however, is instigating one of my favourite sex scenes in TV history, if only for Samwell's "Oh my!" exclamation when all his Christmases came at once. No pun intended.

Syrio Forel - 0.5 pts (K: 0.5, E: 3)

Forel may be a minor character in terms of air time, but Arya Stark's swordplay teacher has to take a lot of credit for his influence on the show.

Had it not been for his passion-filled, artistic teaching style that captivated little Arya's imagination and desire, she would not have become who she was, killed who she did, and played centre role in one of the major plot lines that ran through the show.

Furthermore, anyone who attempts to kill a fully armoured Kingsguard with nothing but a wooden sword and a seductive voice deserves an honourable mention in any list.

Maester Aemon - 0 pts (E: 11)

There is an alternative reality somewhere that sees Aemon Targaryen on the Iron Throne, collecting points left, right and centre as he oversees his kingdom with copius amounts of swearing, sexing and killing.

But that didn't happen, that's not what he wanted, and so instead he's marooned outside the top 200 without so much as a whiff of a point to his name.

One thing he can boast though, is as far as I can remember, he's the only character in the TV show to die on screen (sort of) of natural causes.

107 Olly - 2.5 pts (K: 2.5, E: 17)

He may not have scored many points throughout his somewhat emotional GoT career, but Olly can certainly claim one of the most meaningful kill points when he unwittingly ended Jon Snow and Ygritte's unlikely-yet-very-likely relationship.

Not content with killing Ygritte, Olly then set about helping his Night's Watch mates stab Jon repeatedly, only to see the man he killed come back to life, and execute the child, all on TV. Welcome to Game of Thrones.

116 Mance Rayder - 2 pts (P: 2, E: 5)

A prominent character who created one of the largest armies in the show, and instigated one of the most memorable battles seen in all the seven seasons.

However, whilst Mance was without question a man to be feared and respected, he never actually killed anyone, nor ordered the killing of anyone other than through general warfare (which doesn't count).

Furthermore, he only appeared in five episodes (hard to believe I know), which apparently didn't give him enough time to bastard and whore his way up the leaderboard.

Perhaps he was too busy drinking that delicious-looking northern ale.

125 Grand Maester Pycelle - 1.5 pts (S: 1.5, E: 31)

Apologies for those currently enjoying their dinner, but here we have a man in his seventies, whose only contribution to this website is through having sex with prostitutes.

Still, you've got to hand it to the guy, he may have no spine when dealing with politics and his enemies, but his actual spine seems very well intact, and to be able to keep that fake hobble up for so long is a good enough reason in itself to give him an honourable mention.

E: 24)

130 Catelyn Stark - 1 pt (K: 1, E: 25)

For a long, long time it looked like Ms. Stark would claim the unenviable title of the character who appeared in the most episodes without scoring any points (if anyone has any ideas on how I can shorten that title, please tell me).

Then came the Red Wedding, and, facing an inevitable and relatively unpleasant demise, and under the weight of 25 episodes of ever-increasing emotional turmoil, Cat finally snapped, and slit Joyeuse Frey's throat, before Walder Rivers returned the favour.

Lovely.

=157 The High Sparrow - 1 pt (P: 1, E: 12)

Plots to "overthrow an empire" using thinly-disguised veils of kindness and retribution may make for compelling viewing, but when it comes to finding out who the most Game of Thrones-like character is, that approach certainly doesn't do the High Sparrow any favours.

He may have contributed significantly towards the downfall of the Tyrell and Lannister families, but the modestly-dressed schemer didn't shag or kill anybody, and muttered but a single instance of the word whore.

Would things have been different if he'd succeeded in his bid to topple the monarchy? Quite possibly, but several large kegs of a beer you really don't want to drink soon stopped all that in its tracks.

198 Qyburn - 0 pts (E: 19)

If I asked you which Game of Thrones characters you'd most like to go to the pub with, I'm fairly confident that Qyburn won't be near the top of most of your lists.

This understatedly creepy-medical reject-cum-Mountain-reviver has appeared in 19 episodes without scoring a single point, a feat no other character can match or beat (although Little Sam came close with 18 episodes).

In fact, one could argue that he should get -1 points for bringing a character back from the dead. Thoros may disagree with that notion, though.
